ICLC was established in 1983, making it Okinawa's oldest language school.
To date, our students have hailed from over 50 countries.
With experience and knowledge over the many years, we strive to provide education that meets the needs and goals of each student.

History
1983
Started operations as a language school institution "International Language and Culture Center" in Ohnoyama, Naha City.
1986
Incorporated as a company on May 16th.
1990
Launched Okinawa's first full-fledged training course for Japanese language teachers.
1991
Officially designated as a Japanese language education institution by the Ministry of Justice.
1996
Moved to Tabaru, Naha City.
2000
Spanish and Chinese courses offered.

2016
Launched the 420-hour Japanese Language Teacher Training Course.
2023
Opened second school building with new classrooms.
